I've written a beauty column every week for the past five years. Over 300 columns later, not only do I know lip gloss, but I've amassed a virtual library of all things beautiful.

Here are just a few of my favorites along with the latest & greatest...

Favorite Columns

  • Which fashion accessories should be on your list?
This week, I’ve rounded up the season’s musthave items, all of which deserve a spot on the gifted giver’s radar. Some of these gifts are inspired by celebrities, some are inspired by style and a few others are straight off my own wish list.

  • With these tips, you can look like Brooke
From Brooke Burke’s dancing abs to Rihanna’s kickin’ curves, I’ve rounded up the top reasons to skip the frosted holiday cookies and the eggnog this season.
And while it takes limitless selfcontrol to stay in the rock-hard shape that all of the celebrities on this list boast, I’m giving special props to the perfectly sculpted bodies of moms Halle Berry, Heidi Klum and Brooke Burke. Because looking utterly stunning after having babies takes will power to a whole new level.

  • Let’s squeeze into some jean therapy
    Acne, anyone?
In beauty, the word inspires chills, but put it on your booty, and you’re wearing one of this season’s hautest denim collections.
Acne was born in 1996, when Swedish company Acne Creative Collective crafted 100 pairs of unisex jeans to gift to clients, co-workers and friends. The jeans were highlighted by Swedish Elle magazine and a lifestyle denim brand was born. Determined to be too-cool-for-you, the brand eschews marketing in fashion magazines and, instead, produces its own magazine, called Acne Paper, twice annually.

  • Pumpkins? Bah! Try pomegranates
Pumpkin may be the unofficial mascot of October, but November belongs to the pomegranate, thanks to National Pomegranate Month.
Packed with antioxidants, the pomegranate reportedly helps combat heart disease, cancer and high blood pressure. And while you can purchase fresh pomegranates in the produce department at your local grocer, you’ ll have to harvest and juice the seeds to enjoy the benefits.
Save time — and face — by opting for one of these pomegranate packed beauty products, and reap all the skinsaving, anti-aging rewards this little red fruit has to offer.

  • Tough times call for a fierce look
While mainstream media is abuzz with the falling (and rising) prices of stocks, I’ve rounded up my own list of bargains, in beauty and style, of course. That’s right, deals abound outside of Wall Street, so stock up on must-haves at cut-rate prices.

Heidi Klum’s killer body. Gisele Bündchen’s exotic eyes. Marisa Miller’s magnificent mane.
It’s hard not to envy the God-given good looks of these supermodels, but what if insider secrets play a larger part than good genes in looking runway ready? I sat down with Cheryl Diamond, author of the recently released novel Model: A Memoir, to find out how we mere mortals can look picture perfect.
Diamond, who ventured to New York and successfully pursued a modeling career as a young woman, shared with me her surprisingly straightforward secrets for looking stunning on or off the runway.

  • How A-list celebs can fix their D-list looks
As Britney Spears’ wins at this week’s VMAs proves, everybody loves a comeback. And being a celebrity, with a host of stylists, trainers and makeup artists perfecting one’s every look, isn’t absolute insurance against style missteps. (Cue, Spears!) So if money, power and box-office appeal can’t protect celebrities from making beauty mistakes, what can the rest of us do? Why learn from their mistakes, of course. This week, I’ve gathered the top looks that left us breathless and those that left us declaring, “Oh, no, she didn’t!” Sometimes it’s not what you do, it’s what you don’t.

  • Best and worst makeup removers
I’ve tried a lot of mascaras. It’s a bit of an occupational hazard. Not to mention the never-ending array of liquid liners that I’ve artfully attempted to apply. And then there are the eye shadows, from powders to liquids, that have graced my lids.

  • Burlesque shapes beauty and style
From The Pussycat Dolls to Dita Von Teese, burlesque has gone main stream. Along the way, this kitschy yet sexy style of entertainment has influenced fashion, beauty and beyond. Burlesque began as a nineteenth century comedic entertainment that called upon rich, colorful sets, dramatic lighting and musical performances. Today’s burlesque, often called neo- burlesque, has emerged as upscale adult entertainment that features strip tease, cabaret and dance. In 1995 when Robin Antin founded The Pussycat Dolls, modern day burlesque began its rise to main stream popularity. But classic Hollywood bombshells, such as Mae West, have long-used burlesque’s cheeky double entendres and overt sexuality to launch their careers.

  • Ingredients to avoid in health and beauty
A friend once tried to explain to me why she didn't believe in facials. "Don't get me wrong, it feels good, but I'm not convinced that massaging a few creams into my skin actually accomplishes anything." This is a woman who gets her birth control through a patch on her hip and yet, she wasn't connecting the dots. What we put on our skin, the body's largest organ, affects not only the way we look, but can actually affect our health as well. So, before you swipe a gloss applicator across your lips one more time, or commence that daily post-shower body lotion ritual, ask yourself if what you're putting on your body belongs in your body.

  • Here's a summer treat for some fabulous feet
Summer's hottest nail colors meet the season's sexiest sandals, wedges and pumps. And no self-respecting Tampa Bay beauty would walk the city streets without a pedicure to boot.

Nothing says "summer" like a pair of white pumps. And almost nothing is harder to pull off. When it comes to white, donning just the right pair of heels can make the difference between looking chic and looking cheap. Pair Stuart Weitzman's Springfling peep toe pumps, featuring white silk fabric on a cane-wrapped platform heel ($208 at Zappos.com), with Essie's deep and daring "Licorice," a rich noir polish.

Jamie Lynn Sigler, Mena Suvari and Vanessa Minnillo are among Hollywood's insiders "toasting" to luscious locks. The trio are all clients of celebrity hairstylist Francky L'Official, who keeps his customers loyal by serving up warm beer. L'Official's recipe for "Beer Hair Therapy" calls for a warm bottle of Budweiser Select ... and not much else.
